We are pleased to announce that we have added La Quercia's Tamworth Cured Bacon to the Federal Larder.
La Quercia produces only the finest products from heritage pigs. This may be the only bacon we know that can be eated raw. YES, RAW!
Order it as part of your charcuterie platter. Lay it on a slice of toast and top it with a bit of truffle powder and house made jam. So Good!...You'll go straight to heaven.
We received the brew yesterday and off it went. Light, clean, sweet malty finish. Michael's Genuine Home Brew is a quite the match with our food.
Congrats to Chef Schwartz and his team for this great accomplishment and thanks for letting us be one of the first to offer it! It's an honor and a pleasure.Read More >

Sort of like when Fonzie from Happy Days would cross over into some episodes of Laverne & Shirley, like the Ewing family crossover from Dallas into Knots Landing, or, for the young 'uns, when Grey's Anatomy kvetches over into Private Practice, Tudor House and The Federal Food, Drink & Provisions are joining forces to throw the penultimate, possibly risqué Father's Day fiesta that may make up for all those years of frilly, flowery brunches and tacky ties.Read More >

Does the word "prosciutto" mean anything to you? To most, it's the hind leg of a hog aged 18-24 months from Parma almost halfway around the world in Italy.
To us, it means bringing you the best the USA can offer and, in this case, the best is La Quercia out of Iowa.
Brews & Bellies...
The Fed is thrilled to announce it's first beer event ever, Brews & Bellies - a beer tasting affair. The collaborative tasting will be hosted by local hop-heads, Arwen from the Craft Brewjas and Patrick from Miami Malt Bomb, and will feature a selection of limited edition craft beers.

Starting Sunday, the comfort food haven'll be lining your stomach with crazy new brunch plates like the Jackalope Benedict (w/ rabbit & elk sausage, bacon), grits & shrooms, French toast bananas foster, crispy ranch pig ears, plus kumquat thyme butter and smoked maple syrup-covered Wabbit & Waffles, which would presumably go perfectly with a Fuddy Mary.
About The Federal Food, Drink & Provisions
The Phuc Yea pholks – Alejandro Ortiz, Aniece Meinhold and Cesar Zapata, invite you to The Federal Food, Drink & Provisions. “The Fed” is located at 5132 Biscayne Blvd., nestled in a dimly lit strip mall. The modern American tavern draws inspiration from the regional Americas, classic Americana preparations and, in essence, is a celebration of American integrity, ingenuity and craftsmanship. Cheerful planters, hanging garden lights and audible tunes harkening back to the decades of yore set the mood and transport diners to a time when American identity, personality and popular culture truly began to take shape.Read More >
If this is what a "love letter" sounds like, then we want more of them!
As Lesley Abravanel so cleverly noted, Lee Klein pretty much wrote [us] a love letter, saying that its "distinctiveness cannot be overstated." About the Fed's Buffalo-style pig wings, Klein writes, "It's an unimpeachable combination of flavors." Of the biscuits and gravy with sweetbreads, he says they're "simply luscious." Klein has even more love here for another of The Fed's signature items: "Jar-o-duck pleases via more jarring flavors." The entire review is pretty much a love fest, with Klein saying "Most main courses manage to keep pace with the scintillating starters. The lamb burger is "fantastic," wine selections are "smart," and, long story short, "When a cool neighborhood joint with great food opens, eat there." [MNT]Read More >
